Get Involved

Current Students: Click here (new window) to sign up for Fall 2014 tasks.

Are you a current Hoya who wants to become more involved with prospective student initiatives? GAAP is open to all current undergraduate students, and we are always looking for new members. Check out a few of our various programs below:

GAAP Weekends

Did you have a great GAAP weekend? Would you like to help other students have the same great experience? There are many ways to volunteer! Such responsibilities include serving on student and academic panels, leading dorm and neighborhood tours, and helping with check-in and set-up. Come to our general interest meetings to sign up or email gaapinfo@georgetown.edu to learn more.

Winter Receptions

Do you want to share your Georgetown experience with admitted students in your local area? Over winter break, you have the opportunity to meet up with Early Action admitted students near your hometown. GAAP will provide you with training and discussion topics for these receptions. This is a great opportunity for newly admitted students to be welcomed by current Hoyas.

High School Visits

Would you like to visit your high school to talk to students who are interested in Georgetown? Over the various breaks, you can make arrangements with the college counselors at your high school (or other high schools in your area) to meet up with students. GAAP will provide you with the necessary materials and discussion topics to make for an informative and enjoyable experience.

Admitted Student Phone Calling

Do you remember the phone call you received after being admitted to Georgetown? GAAP members call every admitted student to congratulate them, as well as to welcome them to the Hoya family. Phone calling is done for Early Action admitted students in December and for Regular Decision admitted students in late March.

GU Coffee and Chat

Feel like connecting with prospective students without leaving campus? Sign up to meet with a visiting prospective student over coffee to discuss your Georgetown experience and answer any questions that they might have regarding life on the Hilltop.
