To all of you prospective Hoyas from the wonderful state of Nebraska, my name is Tyson Larson and I am from Weeping Water, Nebraska. I am a senior government and theology double major in the college, and I can honestly say that Georgetown is one of my favorite places in the world. At first, I was a little scared to come halfway across the United States to come to a university that I didn't know at all; especially when I was getting pressure from all sides to go to a school in Nebraska. As I look back on my time here, I have not once regretted my decision to attend Georgetown. Sure it is different from the Midwest, and sometimes you take jokes from kids for growing up in one of the "farm" states; but it is also a great advantage for us to come from Nebraska. By coming here you will get a chance to do what very few kids from our state have an opportunity to do; you will receive a world class education, the experience of being with some of the brightest students of the world, and the ability to meet and become friends with people from all over the world. I am proud to be a Nebraskan, I am proud to be a Hoya, but what pleases me the most is that I am able to represent all of Nebraska at Georgetown; and I hope you will be too.
