My name is Vanessa and I am a Senior in the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics within the Georgetown College. I grew up in Mission Hills, Kansas and I am currently a Spanish major with a double minor in Linguistics and Sociology. Making the decision to come to Georgetown was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, but it was also the most rewarding. Georgetown has so much to offer, not only academically but also socially. There is such a variety of clubs, groups, and sports teams (varsity, club, and intramural) that it is nearly impossible to not be involved in something. I am a member of the Georgetown AIDS Coalition, Hoyas for Choice, the Georgetown Admissions Ambassadors Program, and a tutor for DC Schools Project. Georgetown also offers an array of activities outside of the campus walls. There is easy access to the Metro, which allows you to travel all over DC and visit any of the many museums, monuments, shops, or restaurants. Whether on campus or off, there is never a lack of things to do! Georgetown is truly an amazing institution. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me. Good luck with your college decision. Hoya Saxa!
