Aloha Ka Kou! My name is Krystle and I am the GAAP Ambassador for the beautiful state of Hawai'i. I was born and raised on the North Shore of O'ahu, representing Kahuku High School class of 05.

I've been raised in a very ethnically diverse environment since I was a child, which has influenced me, in so many ways, to come to Georgetown for its opportunities in the international field. I learned how to hula when I was 9 years old, played my first Ukulele when I was 11, and learned how make sushi when I was 12. Hawaii is known for the international feeling it exudes, as seen from our family lu'aus or high school "May Day." I love languages, I love cultures, and most of all I love food. If anything, I wish Georgetown had a degree in fine international cuisine that would allow me to travel across the world for the sole purpose of tasting every culture's fine dining.

Unfortunatley, I don't live in a perfect world. BUT! I come close to it. I am a sophomore in the School of Foreign Service. I plan to major in International Affairs with a certificate in International Development. During the time I've been here, I've seen and have come in contact with many great leaders: politicians, religious leaders, and international ambassadors. I've eaten lunch with economists, chatted with the heads of non-profit agencies, and fought over a piece of desert with CEOs of business companies. Big or small, my experiences at Georgetown have opened up my eyes. Coming from a small town all the way on the North Shore, I am still awed by the people I meet and the students I interact with everyday.

HOYA SAXA!
