Hey everyone, and welcome to Georgetown University! My name is Valbona Masati (my friends call me Val). I am originally from Albania, (I have lived all over the place) but I spent most of my life in Athens, Greece.

Here at Georgetown, I am a senior in the College, majoring in English. I love my school and I really love the people who go here. Before I decided to enroll at Georgetown I was told of the vast international population the university has, but I had no idea how many us there were until I got here! I never feel homesick because I can just walk down the hall and find someone from Europe to chat with! On the other hand, I have many American friends so I can have balance in my life.

Georgetown is in one of the world's prettiest cities, Washington, D.C. Having lived in Athens a long time, I wanted the busy streets of a major city and the welcoming people of an old neighborhood. Georgetown, the neighborhood, is the oldest in DC and it is very fun to live in. I keep myself busy with activities in school (such as GAAP) and I am never bored. Whether around campus, around the neighborhood, or around DC, there is always something to do!

If you have any questions about anything, and I mean anything, do not hesitate to email me!
