I am Caitlin Poliner and I hail from the small town of Merritt Island (east coast, south of Cocoa Beach). I am in the MSB, class of 2009, and I plan on majoring in finance and marketing with a minor in French. I am currently studying in Strasbourg, France for the academic year, and spent the summer on a Georgetown study abroad program in Hong Kong.

Merritt Island is very different from DC, but I absolutely love it there. There is no better city in which to attend college. We are in the heart of everything, and much of what DC has to offer is free. But aside from this great city, Georgetown is amazing and unique in itself. The hilltop is a wonderful community. The people here are all so driven, accomplished and interesting. The study abroad opportunities are amazing. The professors care about you and cater to your interests. No matter what you want, Georgetown has it, whether it be academics, volunteering, or surfing (yes, I promise there is a surf club). And we even get snow! It is usually not an overwhelming amount, but for a girl who is not used to seeing any snow at all, it is pretty cool. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or comments.
