Hi! My name is Jessica and I am a senior in School of Foreign Service. I am majoring in Regional and Comparative Studies- Africa and Latin America focusing on development policies. Last year,I studied abroad for a semester in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania and a summer in Santiago, Chile. Coming from Huntsville to D.C. was a big change of scenery. I went from having the Saturn 5 Rocket as the main focal point that I could see from almost every point in Huntsville to being able to see the Washington Monument from my classrooms! Washington D.C. is a great city in which to attend college. Both the city and the university offer unique opportunities that other schools can not compare to. The resources available to you both on and off campus are one of a kind. With professors that are leaders in their field of study and a wide range of activities to be involved in, Georgetown has plenty to offer you. While Alabama may always be "Sweet Home Alabama", Georgetown has become my home away from home and hopefully will be yours too!
